Name the well-known childrens' story

Wherein still better than the rainbow fish

After witnessing his mother's murder he becomes a male prostitute for an old woman and later marries his cousin. With no other credentials than a sharp suit and a fancy car he becomes king after the old king mysteriously dies of poisoning. And for a bold example of cronyism rewards the guy who nominated him for king with a lucrative government position.

It's all rather shocking.

  4. You sure it's a "children's" story bill? It's starting to sound like it belongs on literotica.com or something.

  5. If it's The Tin Drum, it's a definition of "children's story" I hadn't considered.

I figure it has to be an animal. We don't kill human mothers in 20th century fairy tales.

    Oh! DUHHHHHHHH!!

    It's BABAR!!!
