1) But "Ginger" most likely wasn't named for a spice, rather she was named for slang term for her hair color. While her hair color may also be the name of a spice, strictly speaking I don't think you can say she was named for a spice.
2) Albert Schweitzer I'd guess.
3) What, Flavor doesn't make the cut?
4) Your answer makes sense, as the age of the battleships ended in WWII, well before Alaska and Hawaii became states.
6) Spielberg, that's the name of his production studio, as well, and it's supposed to be awful.
7) Can't think of anything linking those teams.
