What an appropriate image!
Maybe there should be a national contest to pick a 'dauphin' to be our national ceremonial leader.
No real power, just the title, and the right to pee and crap where ever he (or she, though girl babies are greatly disadvantaged when it comes to the ability to proudly aim their stream where they please).
Really, you'd be electing a team of shadowy ministers and 'regents', but the 'dauphin' would be the titular head of the nation.
It could work, I tell you, and be no less absurd.
I'd love to see the negative ads directed at a toddler.
(I'd put the age limit for National Dauphin at six, so it would effectively act as a 4-5 year term limit, as well)
