That was awesome. And, providenitally enough, what I preached on last Sunday.
It's fascinating to see the real Colbert peek through the character.
He got biblical on both guests' asses last night. First his appalled reaction to the idea of a bunch of Methusalahs running around (which I think was real, and not just his character), and then his reaction to Zimbardo with regards to the nature of Hell and his bristling at the suggestion that God intended for a dualistic Good v. Evil world be what we live in. He didn't want any of that Zoroastrian nonsense on his show.
