Here's your St. Paddy's day song
Wherein this holiday is almost as useless and annoying as Valentines day
Richard Thompson sings it:
God Loves a Drunk
Richard Thompson sings it:
God Loves a Drunk
Will there be any bartenders up there in heaven?
Will the pubs never close? Will the glass never drain?
No more DTs and no shakes and no horrors
The very next morning, you feel right as rain
'Cause God loves a drunk, lowest of men
Like the dogs in the street and the pigs in the pen
But a drunk's only trying to get free of his body
And soar like an eagle high up there in heaven
His shouts and his curses they are just hymns and praises
To kick-start his mind now and then
O God loves a drunk, come raise up your glasses, amen

Not that anyone wants my opinion, but since you left the comments open I'll add it anyway.
St. Patrick's Day is more useless than St. Valentine's Day, but not as annoying. It is, after all, possible to get some action on St. Valentine's Day, whereas St. Patrick's Day offers a chance to get a hang-over and food poisoning. (Green beer? I think not!) However, forgetting to do something for "that special someone" on St. Valentine's Day can cause much grief. Therefore, St. Valentine's Day is more annoying.
Icepick, for what it's worth, I'm married and we've both always ignored Valentine's Day.
It's such an artificial concept that I would avoid anyone attaching too much significance to it.
I'm all for drinking, but too many people want to make St. Patrick's Day (and New Year's Eve) a competition, that they've sucked all the fun out of it.
